What we collect

Helm has no account or sign-in system. Everything in the app is data you create directly: job postings (title, company, job description text, status, notes, application links), your CV content (roles and bullet points), and any tailored CV drafts you generate. This is the data the app is built around, and it's used only to run the features you're using.

AI engines and keys (optional). Helm can use Apple Intelligence, which runs on your device and needs no key, or your own account with Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, OpenRouter or a custom endpoint. For those you paste a key (for OpenRouter, you sign in through OpenRouter instead). Helm stores the key in your Keychain, never in a database, file, or anything we can access. An OpenRouter key can sync between your own devices through iCloud Keychain.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

How we use it

Solely to run the app: showing you your own tracked jobs, generating CV tailoring drafts, and, only if you've chosen one, calling your AI engine for review, scoring, gap analysis, or CV import.

Who we share it with

• Apple iCloud — Helm's data syncs across your own devices via your own private iCloud account. Kaiyou Digital has no access to this data; it never passes through anything we operate.
• Your chosen AI engine. Only if you've set one up. When you use an AI feature, the relevant job description or CV text is sent to that provider under your own key or account. If you use OpenRouter, it passes the text on to the AI company that runs the model. Helm asks OpenRouter to use only providers that keep no copy of your content and don't train on it, and asks for your consent on each device before anything is sent. Apple Intelligence runs on your device and sends nothing to us or to any third party.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else. An optional local automation feature (off by default) lets you script adding job leads from your own Mac — it only ever listens on your own machine and never sends anything over the network.

Where it's stored

On your device, synced via Apple's iCloud under your own Apple ID. Kaiyou Digital does not operate any server that stores your job or CV data.

How long we keep it

For as long as you use the app. You can delete everything at any time from Settings, or by deleting the app.

Your rights

As a UK-based service, you have the usual rights under UK GDPR over your personal data. Email support@kaiyou.digital for any of these.

Cookies

Helm is a native Mac/iPhone/iPad app, not a website — it doesn't use cookies or web tracking.
